Samm, Nala & Frida (DoggieTalesLA Founder)
Hi, my name is Samm! I’m originally from Long Island, New York. My love for animals began at a young age. Rescuing birds, cats, and dogs with my mom whenever we found one in need. At one point in my life, I had 3 dogs, a cat, a parrot, snakes, and a few rodents. Home felt like a zoo with my 5 other siblings, but I loved every moment of it.
Bringing over a decade of hands-on experience in animal care and rescue. With a background as a veterinary technician assistant and over 10 years of volunteer work with rescue organizations, I have developed a deep understanding of canine behavior and welfare. I’ve spent the last 8+ years working as a dedicated dog handler and have been fostering dogs for the past 5 years through Love at First Mutt and other local rescues. With two rescues of my own (Nala, my 9 yr old pit mix, and Frida, my 3 yr old beagle/Jack Russell mix) helping me guide new pack members!
Passionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to the well-being of every dog in our care, we’ve built DoggieTalesLA into a trusted name in compassionate, professional pet services. We hope to tell your dogs tale someday soon!
Heather (Manager)
Hi, I’m Heather! I’m originally from Lehigh Valley, PA and I’m a big fan of beach days, good books, and all animals! I grew up with dogs, a few rodents and a bird and I can’t imagine a life without animals. Working my way up to Manager of DT has been so rewarding and there's nothing better than spending every day with my furry friends! I have a soft spot for dachshunds, but truly love every dog I meet and hope to meet yours soon!
Kevin (Pack leader / Office Coordinater)
Growing up with dogs created some of my happiest childhood memories, loving and caring for animals has always been an important part of my life. If I am not out walking your dogs you can probably find me volunteering with Love at First Mutt where I am the adoption coordinator helping find homes for dogs in need. I love learning and meeting every type of dog, so many fun personalities keeps this work enjoyable and very interesting.
My favorite breed would be a Pitbull or any kind of rescue mutt. Here, I am pictured with two of my personal dogs and a recent foster.

Hi my name is Messa Smith! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and growing up surrounded by them has given me a deep love and appreciation for the joy, comfort, and companionship they bring. Being able to care for animals through dog walking has truly filled my cup in so many ways. I love creating a safe, happy, and positive experience for every pet I meet while giving them the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. I feel incredibly grateful to turn my passion for animals into something meaningful every day!

Hi, I'm Jasmine! I absolutely love dogs and enjoy combining that passion with walking and exercise, especially beach walks with my two pups. I've grown up surrounded by animals, so they've always been a huge part of my life! I love all dogs, when I'm not with my dogs, you'll find me spoiling my cats!
Mackenzie (Dog walker)
Hi! I’m Mackenzie. I’m a professional dancer based in LA and a lifelong animal lover. I know every pet has their own personality, and I love getting to know what makes them happiest! If that’s a long walk, playtime, or just some extra love and attention. I’m reliable, active, and will always treat your pets like they’re my own. I can’t wait to meet your furry best friend!
