Hi, my name is Samm! I’m originally from Long Island, New York. My love for animals began at a young age. Rescuing birds, cats, and dogs with my mom whenever we found one in need. At one point in my life, I had 3 dogs, a cat, a parrot, snakes, and a few rodents. Home felt like a zoo with my 5 other siblings, but I loved every moment of it. 

Bringing over a decade of hands-on experience in animal care and rescue. With a background as a veterinary technician assistant and over 10 years of volunteer work with rescue organizations, I have developed a deep understanding of canine behavior and welfare. I’ve spent the last 8 years working as a dedicated dog handler and have been fostering dogs for the past 5 years through Love at First Mutt and other local rescues. With two rescues of my own (Nala, my 9 yr old pit mix, and Frida, my 3 yr old beagle/Jack Russell mix) who help me guide new pack members🩵

Passionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to the well-being of every dog in our care, we’ve built DoggieTalesLA into a trusted name in compassionate, professional pet services. Hoping to tell your dog’s tale someday soon.. if we don’t already 🥰

Growing up with dogs created some of my happiest childhood memories, loving and caring for animals has always been an important part of my life. 

If I am not out walking your dogs you can probably find me volunteering with Love at First Mutt where I am the adoption coordinator helping find homes for dogs in need. I love learning and meeting every type of dog, so many fun personalities keeps this work enjoyable and very interesting. 

My favorite breed would be a Pitbull or any kind of rescue mutt, I am pictured with two of my personal dogs and a  recent foster.
